It’s time to fill up the list of the best coffee shops in Chiang Mai. I am happy to add a new institution – The Baristro at Train Station, for a unique concept, professional approach, and delicious coffee.
If I’m not mistaken, this is the 6th coffee shop that the guys open. I visited two: The Baristro at NCU and The Baristro at Ping River. Both establishments are unique in their own way, but most importantly, both have delicious coffee.
The coffee shop is located on the ground floor of the hotel, next to the Chiang Mai train station. They chose a loft design with cement walls and train station elements: clocks, signs, rails, sleepers, etc. Therefore, for a minute it may seem that you are not in a cafe, but at a train station :).
In the early days, it is insanely crowded. Despite the fact that the cafe is very large, there are no empty seats at the weekend. Inside there are tables for large and small groups, as well as a slow bar.
The main audience is Thais. There are a lot of them, apparently due to the fact that every corner in the cafe is suitable for cool photos. 🙂
All kinds of coffee are on the menu, including alternatives such as pour-over and Nitro coffee. The institution uses beans of both Thai origin and blends from different countries. The coffee preparing on a new coffee machine from the Italian company Sanremo Coffee – Moto di Ferro.
There is no food here, but there are some homemade sweets.
For fans to take pictures and drink delicious coffee – a must-visit.
